From the space of going into our twin flame union, this is how I view Consciousness:

Consciousness is all there is. 

Consciousness is Awareness.

What is pure Consciousness? Pure Consciousness is the state where union with Truth, God (the true Self) occur.

When the mind begins to look within and examine its contents, usually due to a search for Truth often when illusions have lost their appeal, the mind will begin to slough off false mental constructs.  The mind will begin to see through its past conditioning. As this occurs, the emotional energy tied to mental constructs will discharge and clear.

Those false constructs or past conditioning is what has held the mind in bondage and allowed certain emotional energies to stay stuck.  Those layers accumulated due to a sense of separate identity or an “I.” 

As that cleansing and clearing process takes place, often termed the spiritual awakening process, Consciousness begins to clear itself of all that blocks it from perceiving its origin and purest state.

Just like clouds will temporarily block the sun, Awareness will burn through all that is false within the mind. This allows Awareness/Consciousness to return to its pure Conscious state, which is nondual. This state has been termed Truth or The Nondual Reality. But it is not a state. It is actually a stateless state because it contains no borders or separation within it.

That which was previously limited by the mind begins to dissolve within pure Consciousness, so the infinite air of freedom and light can naturally filter in.

Consciousness begins to become Aware of itself more deeply.  It becomes aware of its unlimited nature and its everflowing oneness with All.  Some have also labeled this the Absolute. Others have called it Quantum, the Unified Field or God. I prefer the term Zero Point, since to me, zero describes it best. Everything melts and dissolves into zero. But in reality, it escapes all labels because labels are limited boxes and pure Consciousness is not.

Just like a drop of water that pops out of the ocean is still part of the ocean, Consciousness is You, and you can never separate from it. 

You can believe you are separate, but it is only a belief. A belief is a limited mental construct. 

All beliefs, when propped up against the Light of Truth/Zero Point/God, are false.  You are everything you can perceive and the infinite space on which they float.  You are All and Everything.

Eventually, when enough of the limited contents in the mind and emotional body are digested from within, the mind will open up to pure Consciousness or pure Light, and the mind will fully implode into that Light. The end result of this has been termed Realization or Enlightenment. What is finite and based on thought implodes into pure Light and merges into it once again. From this point, all thoughts are seen through. This is Awakening from what is false into what is true. This is moving into what is transient into what is permanent.

It will eventually be seen that from this infinite space of light Consciousness is all there is.  Everything else is an “other than” that Consciousness created for experience and to know itself. 

In the end, it is all the same.  All you just in different forms.

If the mind digests itself enough via certain exercises that create more awareness, like a meditation practice or self-inquiry, the part of you that does not feel Whole will begin to merge into the Whole, and separation will finally be seen as the illusion that it is. All borders of the mind will begin to fill in as they implode into the infinite Light of your true Self/God/Nondual Reality.

You will see that you were always pure Consciousness that only temporarily got lost and stuck in certain ideas.  The first mistaken idea is that you are a separate identity.  Once that idea was adhered to, all the ideas that layered over it kept that one false idea intact and the ego, “the fallen angel,” was born. 

You must see through all ideas to arrive at the root of the original mistaken idea of being a separate identity.  Then the Nondual Truth is fallen into and you will have woken up fully. What is dark is consumed by light.

Ideas are not you — not even the idea of you being a separate identity.  You are beyond all ideas.  You are unlimited, and you always have been.  The mind is what leads us away from Truth.

The heart knows this.  The mind cannot fathom it and resists it.  The birth of the mind came from the idea of separation itself so the mind cannot understand Truth. It is too simple for the mind to comprehend. The mind must die its own mental death first. It is why the mind is afraid of this process.  It frightens the mind to see through itself.  The mind is afraid it will lose itself because it will.  The mind was never you to begin with.  It is a lie. It is a part of you, yes, but not the Whole. It is only the conditioned part of you. Your true Self lives beyond any conditioning. The true Self cannot be harmed by any idea. It is impervious to them all.

The purpose of a spiritual awakening is to lose the mind into the infinite Truth. The purpose is to perceive pure Consciousness and move into Nonduality.  In the end, there is no death, just death to mental constructs.

Before fully Awakening you are pure Consciousness with layers of mental overlays blocking the Truth of this.  Like the silkworm that gets lost in its own thread, you have gotten temporarily lost in a world of your own making. It is an illusion.

So how did Consciousness begin?  Well, that is the mystery of it.  It always was, and it always will be.  It is the silent, still ground of being that everything floats on.  It goes beyond time, space, or anything the mind can create or cling to.  It is pure silence and stillness that stretches infinitely with no beginning and no end.  That is what you are. You are permanent. Ideas are not.

Some say we spend many lifetimes trying to go back Home to find this Truth and fall into pure Consciousness again.  That we suffer in separation until we find Home.  To go back through the mind and examine its contents is to find the true Self.  Once found, our innate unlimited freedom is once again remembered. 

You cannot go Home by outward seeking and adding more layers to the mind.  If you are lost in ideas of separation, you must go in the mind to cast off those shadows to find what is limited and false. You do not play in the branches and leaves of a tree to find the root of it. You go down into the root to find the origin.  By dropping ideas one by one, you will merge back into Truth. You unlearn. In reality, you are already there. It is just the mind that hides it from view.

Only when one gets fully tired of suffering in duality, will they turn inward and begin the spiritual search back Home again.   Once found, all suffering ends.  Yes, you will still be a human being and you will still have emotions.  The only difference is, you now see through them all into the infinite Truth.  You are free once again.  You see through your false Self and into your true Self where no separation ever occurred. You are living beyond life and death. This is truly living because this is what awakening into pure Consciousness is. 

Why was Consciousness created at all?  How does it even exist? The mind will never know. It is the ultimate mystery.  But we are here having this unfathomable experience through it, the most beautiful mystery of all.
